Story
For the last decade, the designers at ProductM have
been focused on brand development, product innovation
and technology within the service industrial design
industry. Realizing the quality and value they were
bringing to their customers, they decided it was
time to bring their own in-house products into reality.
Between servicing clients' projects the ProductM
team began their work on the first TuneBuckle, a
dream that gave the team the freedom to design what
they wanted. Young but wise, the team flew to CES
in January 2006 with the first 6 prototypes of the
groundbreaking TuneBuckle. On the flight to the show
the team was pleasantly surprised by the attention
of complete strangers who were commenting and inquiring
in amazement, “what’s that?” and “that’s
so cool.” Not only does it look cool, but the
ProductM team realized during their travels that
the TuneBuckle was also extremely functional. They
knew then that they were on to something…
Shortly after the CES and MacWorldExpo,
the energy and positivity of potential customers
for the TuneBuckle culminated into a crescendo
of 160,000 Google crosslinks in a worldwide buzz
. From Tokyo to Milan to New York, the internet
blogs propelled the team to prepare for production
in only 2 months. With bold early adopters placing
orders with no knowledge of when product would
ship, TuneBuckle was validated in the market
place. |
